The Center for Church Leadership was established in April of 1999 by Martin Methodist College as part of its mission as a church-related institution of higher education. An anonymous donor vitally interested in church vocations and leadership provided initial funding for the Center. The Center's growth was enhanced in 2002 by a private, challenge gift of $5 million. The Center for Church Leadership offers a new level of service to the churches of the region by: Intentionally focusing on the development of skills needed for effective leadership in the local church organizations; Identifying, recruiting, and training future church leaders; Providing quality continuing education for those currently in ministry; Serving as a personnel resource for churches; Advocating and upholding biblical view of vocation as a calling. |
