Carson-Newman is a private, christian, co-educational liberal arts college. Founded in 1851 by East Tennessee Baptists, C-N remains true to her traditional of academic excellence taught within the framework of a christian environment. The campus is located in Jefferson City, near the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and only a short 30 minute drive to Knoxville. The 100 acre campus features buildings of georgian architecture, including the award winning Maddox Student Activities Center, a phenomenal facility or over 96,000 square feet, used for both receactional and educational activities.
